It stays hidden in the background. The hidden windows will be gone from the task bar, and the Alt+Tab menu. To show the windows you simply press another key combination and you will see all your hidden windows. It's great if you are doing something that you don't want others to know. You may also hide/show windows through Window Hidie's user interface. It's also install-free. You can place it on a USB drive and take it anywhere.
