QuickPar is a utility for creating Parity Volumes (.par & .par2 file extensions) using the Reed Solomon algorithm. Parity Volumes may be used to verify that a set of files have not been corrupted, or to reconstruct damaged files (providing that you have a sufficient quantity of Parity Volumes to match the missing or damaged files). QuickPar uses the PAR version 2.0 specification. This tool is very handy, it allows you to repair your downloads from newsgroups and other places instead of having a corrupt file. Make sure that you download the PAR files attached to your downloaded files to enable QuickPar to do its job. WinDirStat reads the whole directory tree once and then presents it in three useful views: The directory list, which resembles the tree view of the Windows Explorer but is sorted by file/subtree size.
